Four of my high school friends and I have just returned from our stay at this wonderful home. We had a marvelous time. The home is exactly pictured as in the VRBO photos and is just beautiful. We especially enjoyed the covered gazebo on the back deck, and spent a lot of time out there in the wooden rockers ( 5 of them!) drinking coffee in the morning or having a glass of wine in the evening. We had no issues or problems with the wifi--didn't use the TVs or hot tub, so I can't comment on those. I did have a little trouble opening the lockbox, but the owner happened to come by, so he helped with that. I would agree with a previous reviewer that the steep drive might be challenging to navigate with snow on the ground. I rented an SUV and I had no problems getting out. A big plus in my book is that we had the peaceful experience of a home in the woods along with the convenience of being close to town. Asheville was a great choice for our gathering--spent Saturday exploring the Biltmore Estate and Winery and on Sunday drove on the Blur Ridge Parkway up to Craggy Gardens and did a short hike there. I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our time and I would not hesitate to recommend this place as a vacation retreat for your time in Asheville.
House was perfect size for our family gathering. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Loved the fireplace upstairs and down. Only thing was it really needed better pillows, especially in upstairs master bedroom and extra blankets. The two provided weren't quite enough for chilly nights.
